For students who do not live or come from an English language speaking country we recommend them to take an English language course to improve their language to an intermediate level or higher. This can be done alongside our courses. Your minimum level of English may vary depending upon which university you decide to complete your top up qualification from.
You will need to have an IELTS score of level 5.5 or above on completion of the UBA course. You can study an English course alongside with the UBA course. At Diploma or level 4/5, you will require a full secondary education to be eligible to enrol in the course and universities will require a minimum age before embarking on the university top-up programme. At Level 7 you will require 5 years of managerial experience if you do not have a BA degree. This may vary for various University partners, However, we will look at every application individually and some exceptions may be looked into.
There is no interview process. You will have to fill out a short application form to make sure you meet the criteria.

It is important that learners do not try to extend themselves too far and too quickly so should ideally choose a path that comfortably moves on from their existing level of skills and experience.
Once we have viewed your application we approve your eligibility within 10 minutes. You can then simply choose your course and enrol online, via the Universal Business Academy Learning Store. Alternatively, you can email the UBA Enrolment team on info@universalbusinessacademy.com and they will guide you through the Enrolment process.
Yes. Once UBA has received the cleared funds your course materials will be released to you immediately.
UBA offers a flexible instalment payment plan so that you can pay for your course over a set number of years or months. UK students may also be eligible for student loans for the university top-up programme. Learners should make enquiries direct to their chosen university.
No additional costs are levied by UBA but there is an opportunity for learners to purchase additional learning resources including tutor support, additional weekend or weekday classes, and short English courses. For more information relating to tutor support click here.

All assessments or final examinations are included in the course purchases. If you fail an online assessment at the end of a module you can purchase are set for £50.00.

Learners who achieve a UBA with ATHE qualification are automatically mapped against a standard UK Higher Education qualification framework. This is a universally recognised framework of credits. Universities can, therefore, award credits for the UBA study to give exemptions from large parts of their formal programmes. ATHE have pre-agreed arrangements with certain universities to provide credits against programmes either on campus or off campus. This is termed ‘university top-up’.
The Universal Business Academy Sdn. Bhd. is a company registered in Malaysia under Malaysia law. UBA is also a registered Training Centre with the Ministry of Human Resources (Pembangunan Sumber Manusia).
The Universal Business Academy is dedicated to providing a wide range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses at an affordable cost. All learning activities, materials, and content are provided online using modern delivery models to make learning more engaging and cost-effective. On completion of a UBA course, it will give you recognised University credits to then “top up” at one of our UK University partners, saving you time and money.
Students are required to inform us immediately by email whenever there is a change in their mailing address/email address or contact numbers. If the college is not notified of a change in mailing and email address or contact numbers, then it will not be held responsible for any correspondence which fails to reach the student itself.
Access to the UBA Dashboard is for a maximum of 2 years from the date of enrolment. This can be extended if a request is made in writing to the UBA Student admin.

The UBA programmes are mapped against UK higher education qualifications which are fully transferable to a range of other higher education routes and professional qualifications. On completion of the UBA Level 4/5 programme students will be awarded 240 credits ( The first 2 years of an Undergraduate degree) . They can then top up to their final year at one of our University partners who recognise the ATHE qualification. Similarly, at level 7 students gain 120 credits from a total of 180 credits for an MBA. Again they can top up at a UBA University partner.
Once you successfully complete your final year at university, you will have a full BA degree or postgraduate qualification that will open doors to many career options.
You can seek help from dedicated forums or request tutor help. Students can interact and help each other through the course content and share interesting and relevant links with each other. We also have a dedicated tutor support team all specialising in all UBA modules.
All students that have enroled onto an ATHE course can communicate with other students via the social learning forum. However, those students who enroled onto other courses can only communicate with other students via joining the weekdays or weekend classes.
Learners can use the social learning forums without limitation and talk to fellow learners around the world. Learners may also choose to purchase additional tutor support. Tutors will also present webinars on demand which can be purchased by students.

Not at all. All the study materials will be in printed copy textbook.
Each program has its own specific allowed study duration, kindly refer to the following:
Higher National Diploma – maximum 12 months from the date of enrolment.
Baccalaureate Programme – maximum 24 months from the date of enrolment.
MBA Programme– maximum 36 months from the date of enrolment.
The modules themselves are sufficient for passing the associated assessments. Some modules contain additional accessible resources that learners may wish to follow through to enhance their learning and these are provided within the text.
The student can apply for the Final examination only when you are ready. However, the earliest you may sit for the exams are a minimum six months from the enrolment date – subject to full settlement of the course fees.
It is compulsory for students to take the trial mid-term exam and trial final exam before they can sit for the CIC, UK final exams. Student can choose to have 2 ways to assess their answer sheet:
A CIC Certificate or Diploma will not be awarded to a CIC Member unless that Member has attempted and passed a CIC Examination. UBA will provide an invigilator to supervise you during your final examination in Johor Bahru. Those students who are out of Johor Bahru or overseas students may take your final examination by applying for an approval invigilator at your country of residence.
You need to secure lN ADVANCE the assistance of a responsible person to be your Invigilator and supervise you during the time you are attempting the CIC Examination(s).
The following categories of persons might be accepted by the College as being “qualified” to invigilate your Examination(s). Not all categories will necessarily be available in your country, or in the area which you live in; If in doubt, ask UBA for advice:-

To register your proposed Invigilator in good time, you need:
You should then airmail the above-completed Form to UBA under registered mail or scan and email it to UBA together with a recent ID photograph of yourself affixed or attached. lt is YOUR responsibility to ensure that the ‘Agreement to Invigilate’ Form is sent to Universal Business Academy, AT LEAST THREE MONTHS BEFORE you want to sit for the Examination(s), and at least three months before the “Expiry Date” of your Membership (see your “Confirmation of Membership” particulars.) Once your Exam Fee has been fully paid and the Agreement to Invigilate Form has been received, the Each Examination Booklet (in a sealed envelope) together with “Guidance for the Invigilator” information will be airmailed DIRECT to your Invigilator by registered post. S/He will be informed of the dispatch date and registered post number by separate post.
You need to complete all the modules detailed in your required course option plus all the associated assessments to complete the UBA course and receive the ATHE diploma. This will give you the recognized University credits. You can study the modules at your own pace and can purchase more modules at any time.
As long as you have internet access any computer or tablet can be used to complete online modules and courses. You can also study on your phone with our mobile-friendly content.
Yes, but this will only be accessible with an internet connection. All digital interactivity has been coded for compatibility on touch screens. You can also learn from the online materials by printing it out.

For ATHE programme, each module and assessment passed generates a certificate of completion which details the module content, level of study and learning outcomes achieved. It is mapped against formal UK educational quality guidelines defined by QAA. On completion of all modules, you can then write assignments set by ATHE to complete your ATHE diploma with UBA.
Learners can learn at a pace that suits them. The student is required to complete the programme within two years from the date of their enrolment There is no time limits or deadlines with UBA. Learners can study the modules in any order at any time.
There are no exemptions or credits within the ATHE system of study and you have to study all the ATHE modules to take advantage of our access route. However, if you think you may be exempt from a certain level then please contact us and we will advise you. We can also help you with your top up enquiries if you have already got the necessary qualifications.
Students can study the modules in any order and at any pace, to qualify for the University Top-up all of the modules and assignments have to be completed.
Learners who complete the full programme of modules as detailed and also complete the assignments are awarded an ATHE certificate and official Credits transcript. This qualification is recognised by UK higher education authorities and by the university sector. The student can then apply to one of our University partners to complete their degree.
All modules have an online assessment. Completion of the requisite number of assessments and written assignments will give the participant a qualification recognised by many top line universities.
Assessments are made up of 30 multiple choice questions and last for one hour. There is an assessment at the end of each module. Questions are answered in sets of five to allow for review and editing if required. If a session times out or an issue occurs throughout, the assessment will time out at the point of the previous five questions so that a participant does not lose their previous answers. Results are given immediately on completion. You can find out more on the assessment page. On completion of all end of module assessments learners then write assignments set by ATHE to complete the course.
The interactive activities in the modules include tests, exercises, and assessments which provide a guide to a learner’s progress through the modules.
UBA has a network of overseas banks that will take payment direct or alternatively by credit /debit card/ Bank transfer. Kindly refer to our payment options.
UBA cannot act a visa sponsor but your chosen university partner can.
No visa is required for an online study. If a student chooses to take the university top-up programme on campus in the UK, a student visa will be required. Learners should request this through their chosen university.
Yes. There are no geographical limitations.
